2.4mg Wegovy prices, live
Cheapest 2.4mg Wegovy price UK: the maintenance dose, ranked live
2.4mg is the dose most people stay on, so it is the one where a few pounds a month adds up to hundreds a year. The five cards below are regenerated from the iGovy price index every time this page loads, ranked by the lowest delivered total for a four-week 2.4mg pen with any first-order discount applied. Below them is what actually drives the gap between pharmacies at this dose, and how to compare the price you will pay in month six rather than month one.
Short answer. The cheapest 2.4mg Wegovy price in the UK today is on the first card below, and it changes as pharmacies move their prices and offers. Because 2.4mg is the standard maintenance dose, reached from week 17 on the licensed schedule and continued for as long as treatment lasts, the number that matters most is the ongoing price after any first-order discount has expired. Each card shows both.
Use it this way: compare the delivered total, then click through to the card's retail figure to see what the same pharmacy charges once the introductory offer ends. If you have already lost weight and your BMI has fallen, check the pharmacy's maintenance policy on the maintenance pharmacy directory before you switch.

Fifth lowest 2.4mg Wegovy price
5thiGovy is an independent comparison service run by Medstack Ltd, not a pharmacy or prescriber. The cards are generated from the price index on every page load, so what you see is what was in the index at that moment. A pharmacy can still change a price or offer between our check and your checkout, so confirm the final total before paying.
Why 2.4mg pricing works differently from the starter doses
Pharmacies price the starter dose to win new customers and price 2.4mg to keep them. That single fact explains most of what you see on this page.
The dose you keep paying for
On the licensed schedule you spend four weeks on each of 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg and 1.7mg, then move to 2.4mg from week 17 and stay there. A year of treatment is roughly four months of stepping up and eight months of 2.4mg, so the 2.4mg price is the one that decides your annual spend. The dose steps guide walks through the schedule.
What the trials showed at 2.4mg
In STEP 1, adults without diabetes lost an average of 14.9% of their body weight over 68 weeks on 2.4mg against 2.4% on placebo. In SELECT, 2.4mg cut major cardiovascular events by 20% in people with existing heart disease. Those results, not the higher 7.2mg dose, are what the NHS and most private prescribers base treatment on.
Where 7.2mg fits
Since January 2026 a 7.2mg dose has been licensed in the UK for people who have plateaued on 2.4mg. It costs more per month and is not a starting point. If you are considering it, the 7.2mg price page ranks it separately so the two are never mixed in one list.
| Question to ask the pharmacy | Why it matters at 2.4mg |
|---|---|
| What is the price after the first-order offer? | Most discounts on this page are first-order only. The retail figure on each card is the number you will be paying from month two. |
| Will you keep prescribing once my BMI falls below 25? | Some pharmacies stop at a fixed BMI. If you are near your goal, a cheap 2.4mg pen from a pharmacy that will not continue is a false saving. |
| Is it a subscription? | Subscription pricing can be cheaper per pen but may lock you into a monthly charge. The card shows a subscription flag where one applies. |
| Do you dispense the 2.4mg pen or the 7.2mg pen? | If you plan to step up later, a pharmacy that already stocks 7.2mg saves you a second switch. |
What moves the 2.4mg price between pharmacies
The same pen, the same manufacturer, the same GPhC-registered supply chain, and yet the cheapest and dearest 2.4mg listings on iGovy are often tens of pounds apart. Four things account for almost all of it.
First-order discounts
Nearly every pharmacy on iGovy runs a new-customer offer, and at 2.4mg those offers are worth more in cash terms because the base price is higher. The card ranks on the discounted total, and shows the retail price beside it so you can see how big the drop is when the offer ends.
Ongoing and subscription pricing
A handful of pharmacies price 2.4mg lower for returning customers or through a subscription, which is unusual at the starter doses. On a dose you will be buying for months, the pharmacy that is fourth on the first-order list can be cheapest over a year.
Delivery and consultation fees
Some pharmacies charge for tracked cold-chain delivery or an initial consultation. Both are folded into the delivered total in the index, which is why a pharmacy with a low headline pen price can rank below one with a higher pen price and free delivery.
Maintenance policy
Pharmacies that keep prescribing at a lower BMI often charge a little more for 2.4mg than those that do not. For anyone close to goal weight that premium buys continuity, which is why the maintenance price list exists as a separate ranking.

How iGovy checks 2.4mg Wegovy prices
Delivered total, not headline
Every price in the index is the total for a four-week supply at this dose including delivery and any consultation fee the pharmacy charges, so a pharmacy cannot rank first by hiding a delivery charge at checkout.
Checked by a person
Prices are taken from each pharmacy's own checkout by Medstack staff rather than scraped, and GPhC certificates are verified manually before a pharmacy is listed. The last-checked stamp under the title is the live record of the most recent check.
No paid placement
Ranking is strictly lowest total first, alphabetical on a tie. No pharmacy can pay for a position or a badge. iGovy earns a referral commission from some pharmacies when you click through, which never affects the order. Details are in the price checking method and editorial policy.
2.4mg Wegovy price questions
What is the cheapest 2.4mg Wegovy price in the UK?
It is the first card on this page, ranked live from the iGovy index by delivered total with any first-order discount applied. The figure is not typed into this page, so it is never out of date; the last-checked stamp under the title records the most recent check.
How much does Wegovy 2.4mg cost per month?
One 2.4mg FlexTouch pen holds four weekly doses, so the card price is close to a monthly cost. Prices differ by tens of pounds between pharmacies, and the price after a first-order offer is usually higher than the introductory figure, so compare the retail figure on the card for an honest monthly number. The Wegovy cost guide covers per-month and per-year maths in more detail.
Is 2.4mg the maximum Wegovy dose?
It was until January 2026, when the MHRA licensed a 7.2mg dose for adults who need further weight loss after being established on 2.4mg. 2.4mg remains the standard maintenance dose in the product information and the dose the NHS prescribes.
Can I stay on 2.4mg long term?
Yes, that is what the dose is for. Privately there is no fixed time limit; NHS treatment under NICE guidance is limited to two years within a specialist service. The maintenance pharmacy directory lists which private pharmacies continue prescribing once your BMI has fallen, and at what threshold.
Can I switch pharmacy while on 2.4mg?
Usually, yes. The new pharmacy will ask for evidence that you are established on 2.4mg, typically a photo of your current pen box and your last order confirmation, before it will supply that strength. Order before your current pen runs out, because the switch takes a few days.
What if I miss a 2.4mg dose?
Take it as soon as you can within five days of the missed dose; if more than five days have passed, skip it and take the next one on the usual day. Never take two doses to catch up. The missed dose guide covers longer gaps and when a restart at a lower dose is needed.
How this page was checked. Dose schedule and pen contents are taken from the Wegovy FlexTouch Summary of Product Characteristics and patient leaflet (eMC record 13800). Trial figures are from the STEP 1 and SELECT publications in the New England Journal of Medicine and the STEP UP publication in The Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology. Prices are never typed into this page; every figure is rendered live from the iGovy price index. Monj, iGovy, Ogovy and Dayo are independent comparison sites run by Medstack Ltd and do not sell, prescribe or dispense medicines. Corrections go through the editorial policy.
Official checks before you order
Use these alongside the cards: confirm the pharmacy on the GPhC register, read the current Wegovy leaflet, and know where to report a problem.
